A pedestrian has died after being struck by a streetcar at Spadina Ave. and Sullivan St. Friday evening, police said.

The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Spadina Ave. is closed between Dundas St. West and Queen St. West. The 510 Spadina streetcar is diverting.

The closure is expected to last several hours as police investigate.

Information regarding the victim’s age and gender has not yet been made available.
