A man was rushed to a local trauma centre with serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle and trapped underneath it in Regent Park Tuesday evening.

Emergency crews were notified of the collision at Gerrard St. E. and Sackville St. at 7:19 p.m.

Toronto Fire also responded to the scene.

Paramedics said the victim, believed to be in his 60s, was in serious and possibly life-threatening condition. The intersection was closed in all directions for a police investigation.
