Police concerned for public safety after duck found shot with crossbow in Brampton park
Peel police are concerned for public safety after a duck shot by a crossbow was found in a popular park in Brampton.
On Tuesday, Ontario SPCA and Brampton Animal Services responded to an injured animal call at Loafer’s Lake Park.
The duck had a small yellow crossbow bolt in its chest, police said.
Emergency services attempted to bring the injured animal to the veterinarian, but were unable to capture it.
“Police are concerned for the safety of the public in such instances of a weapon being used in populated areas,†police wrote in a news release.
