Man Hurt in Collision on Gardiner Expressway Dies a Month Later
A man seriously hurt in a car crash on the Gardiner Expressway in January has died from his injuries, Toronto police said Friday.
The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on Jan. 29 when a Subaru crashed into a Ford pickup truck, then struck a concrete barrier and burst into flames.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of the Gardiner near the Humber River. It wasn’t clear why the Subaru struck the Ford, which was driven by a 43-year-old man.
The driver of the Subaru, a 24-year-old man with critical injuries, was pulled from the vehicle and rushed to hospital. He died Feb. 27, police said. His identity wasn’t released.
