Eight people charged after Vaughan house shot at twice
Eight people have been arrested and are facing 50 drug and firearm related charges after two separate incidents this summer where the same Vaughan residence was fired upon.
York Regional Police responded to a residence on Mellings Dr. on June 12 in the middle of the night for the report of gunshots, and found bullet holes in the front door. The house was again targeted on Aug. 7, the garage door receiving the brunt of the damage. There were no injuries to anyone in either incident.
During the ensuing investigation, York Regional Police received assistance from Waterloo Regional Police and Peel Regional Police to carry out search warrants in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Mississauga areas. Eight people were taken into custody as a result.
