Police Searching for Stolen Rescue Dog

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in locating a dog they believe was stolen.

Mary, a white and brown Jack Russell terrier, escaped from her leash at around noon on Apr. 14. She was near her home at Greenwood Ave. and Gerrard St. E.

Police say she was later picked up by a woman driving a white Toyota in the Pape Ave. and Danforth Ave. area.

Mary is a rescue dog, and will run if she’s chased, police say.

Last Sunday, another Toronto dog, Kobe, was reunited with his owner after police say he was stolen from outside a McDonald’s.

Anyone with information on Mary’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 416-808-5500.
