(NC) Our farmers do a lot for our communities. They ensure we have nutritious, local produce to feed our families; create great jobs to improve our economy; and can purchase quality Canadian goods at the grocery store. 

But what kinds of resources are available to help support farmers?

One program offered by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada is the Farm Debt Mediation Service. It offers financial counselling and mediation services to farmers and their creditors.

The program is a free, private and confidential service. If it lets farmers meet with their creditor in a neutral forum to find a mutually acceptable repayment arrangement.
